From the first week of the semester to the last week many things have been done and said. Many things have been learned just by thinking critically about plays, short stories, poems the list goes on. Connecting all these forms of literature to modern society is something that we have done the whole semester. By doing this, what I learned was, how to view the world in a different way and to express yourself based on worldly events. Observing the world is truly a beautiful thing and makes you stick out from the crowd because you know what’s going on. But expressing yourself about how you feel about the world is even more beautiful
As I kept on writing the pub pieces in the papers and doing the homework. I realize a common trend that I never frequently used before in writing. As I do papers for other classes now I tend to use the same method I do in English, which we used outside sources to connect the topic of the paper with the outside world. By doing this leads to more concrete thought in the paper making it stand out from everyone else’s. From this class have learned to become a thinker because of the evidence I use to backup myself and think on the spot. But also I consider myself a speaker because of all the “fishbowls” that we’ve had exchanging ideas like if it was some sort of cultural diffusion.
The idea is a truly did resonate with me throughout the whole course was the idea of the freedom. Because in this course there is something different, there isn’t any professor holding me back to wherever I could say. I could express my ideas and a third person point of view and have other people give me feedback off of the work I created. I truly came to appreciate this and this sense of freedom of what I have to say in society we all live in is something i want to carry on out of the classroom. In five years I would see myself as a successful person going into the field of medicine or maybe an athlete because of my willingness to speak my mind based off of what I have learned this semester
